Big RMEF fund raiser in Carson on Apr. 19

The Tahoe Basin Chapter (No. 483) of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) will hold its annual fund raising banquet at the Carson Nugget on Saturday, April 19.

The cost to attend is: $75 for a single person, which includes a Prime Rib dinner, a one-year supporting membership in RMEF, a one-year subscription to the "Bugle" Magazine, and new this year: A RMEF knife. $40 for a current member or spouse, meal only (Member No. is on the "Bugle" label). $25 for a child (age 16 and under), which includes a free entry into the "Kid's" raffle. $115 for a couple which includes two dinners, a one-year supporting membership in RMEF and a one-year subscription to the "Bugle" Magazine.

The doors will open at 4:30 p.m., followed by dinner (prime rib and fried shrimp main courses) and the evening's activities.

There will be door prizes, general raffle, ladies raffle, kids raffle, bonus raffle, live auction, silent auction, games and special prize drawings.

Included in the auctions are two safari hunts in Africa for two hunters each for 2008 or 2009, elk hunts in Colorado and Montana, and framed artwork by artist Chris Lacey.
