Nevada's McAlman sets personal discus mark

Sophomore Constance McAlman, a Carson High School graduate, set a personal record and recorded a regional qualifying mark in the discus (47.45 meters) Saturday night at the Long Beach Invitational.

McAlman beat her previous personal best in the discus of 45.65m set earlier this season at the Stanford Invite.

McAlman has now recorded two regional qualifying marks this season. She also recorded a regional qualifying mark in the hammer throw at the Hornet Invite She also recorded a personal best on Saturday in the hammer throw with a mark of 55.67m. Her previous personal best in the hammer throw was 55.52m set at the Hornet Invite.
