Virginia City Labor Day Parade: Noon-1 p.m., C Street, Virginia City. Parade features grand marshal Lucy Bouldin, Storey County Library director, along with clowns, veterans groups, Civil War volunteers, equestrian acts, classic cars and more. Call 847-4386.

All day " Civil War Encampment with displays of life during the war, including cannons, camp followers, stores, gunsmiths and more.
