Training for court advocates begins today

CASA of Carson City begins training for CASA volunteers 6-9 p.m. today at the Juvenile Court Building, 1545 E. 5th St. Anyone is welcome to attend the first session to learn more about becoming a CASA volunteer. Pizza Fridays for Lent at Corpus Christi Catholic Church

Corpus Christi Catholic Church hosts Pizza Fridays for Lent 5:30-6:45 p.m. every Friday during Lent, with a presentation of the Stations of the Cross after dinner. They may be the only Catholic Church in the area with its own, professional pizza oven and a gourmet pizza chef for a priest, Father James J. Setelik, Jr. Free pizza for ages 5-younger, $4 for ages 6-12 and $7 for ages 13-older. Profits go to the Corpus Christi Building Fund and their new building project on Sunridge Drive.
