Eileen Joan Pettenger was born March 12, 1938 to Lilian and Thomas Kilfeather in London, England. She was the last born of their four children. She had a sister, Pat, and twin brothers Terry & Alan.

At the age of 17, she joined the British Army to help her overcome her shyness. Approximately a year later she was discharged due to developing Hodgkin's disease. The doctor's expected she wouldn't survive a year. But, being the strong lady she was, she beat the disease and lived another 50 years. She became a switch board operator before deciding to move to the United States in 1959 as a nanny in New York. She later made her way west.

On November 28, 1971 she married the love of her life and best friend Loren O. Pettenger. She was the mother of 5 children Linda, Michael, Mark, Janice and Maureen. She has 13 grandchildren. She left us to be with the Lord on February 25, 2008 just shy of her 70th birthday.

She will be missed tremendously by her family; we were so blessed to have had such a wonderful loving wife, mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 29, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Autumn Funerals and Cremations.
