Hypnotist leaves 'em laughing at Galaxy; encores are ahead

Dan Kimm, hypnotist and therapist, bought his hypnotic show to the Galaxy cineplex last Thursday night, setting up in showroom No. 3. Despite a late start (audiences can be on time, why not performers?) the hundred-plus spectators who paid $10 each seemed to be in a good mood and responded happily when Kimm took stage.

After an intro in which he described hypnosis and the good things it can do for folks, he asked for volunteers from the audience to be his "cast." A dozen jumped at the chance and joined him on the stage. Kimm managed to get most of the volunteers into a hypnotic state, and then the fun began. Kimm reported that he would do the show again tonight at 7 p.m. before appearing at the Brewery's Performance Hall on Saturday night, also at 7 p.m. This time it's an adult show; who knows what kind fantasies the volunteers will offer.

Kimm will be joined at the Brewery by Simmons, Minden's "queen of comedy." Call 883-1976 for tickets. Should be a mesmerizing night.
