Free legal advice available for seniors


Seniors aged 60 and older can dial 1-877-693-2161 to be provided free assistance with almost any legal problem that is not criminal in nature.


Nevada Department of Health and Human Services and Division for Aging Services is funding the service through a grant received by DAS from the United States Administration on Aging. It is staffed by attorneys and paralegals from Nevada Legal Services and the Washoe County Senior Law Project. Little League sign-ups to start Saturday


Carson City Little League will hold sign ups from 8:30 a.m-noon Saturday at the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. Williams St. Bring proof of residency and a birth certificate to register. For information visit www.carsoncitylittleleague.org.




Explore Germany at the Carson City Library


Carson City Library will present Explore Germany on Thursday, Jan. 31, at 7 p.m., in the Library's auditorium. Sven Klatt, originally from East Berlin, will present the informational program. Reno artist exhibits at WNC
