Bettianne Corey passed away peacefully in her home, with her daughters Dawn and Darlene by her side, on January 23, 2008. Dawn and Darlene lovingly cared for their mother for the past 5 years.

Betty was born on January 29, 1923 in Tacoma, Wash. to Ralph and Anna Crawford. Betty lived in Bremerton, Wash. for 47 years. She worked at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard before marrying and spent the following years in Bremerton raising her 7 children. She also owned and operated a small grocery store. Betty moved her family to Carson City in 1970. She was the Head Cashier for the Ormsby House Coffee Shop for 11 years.

Betty will be missed by her loving children Bruce Corey, Kris Woods, Diane Gibson, Denice Connolly, Bryan Corey, Darlene Rhodes and Dawn Gibson, as well as her 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City has been entrusted with Betty's final arrangements. A memorial service will be held at Walton's Chapel on Saturday, at 2 p.m.
