Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Lompa Lane, primarily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.
The closure of westbound Fairview Drive from Saliman Road to Roop Street is in effect through Aug. 31. Alternate routes of travel are Colorado Street to the south, and Little Lane to the north.
Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.
The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 6:11 a.m. all roads open with no controls.
Today's weather will be partly cloudy with areas of smoke and haze with highs 85-96 and light winds becoming west 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight, partly cloudy in the evening then becoming clear with areas of haze and smoke. Lows 54-64 with west winds 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the evening becoming light.
