Today's weather will be mostly cloudy with isolated showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall likely; highs 81-91 with light winds.

Tonight, mostly cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the evening then isolated showers after midnight. Locally heavy rainfall likely in the evening with lows 58-68 and west winds 10-15 mph in the evening becoming light.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Lompa Lane, primarily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.

The closure of westbound Fairview Drive from Saliman Road to Roop Street is in effect through Aug. 31. Alternate routes of travel are Colorado Street to the south, and Little Lane to the north.

Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 6:30 a.m. all roads open with no controls.
