Randal "Baka" Richard Carel

Randy passed away in his home peacefully, surrounded by his loving family members July 18, 2008.

Randy was born to Richard and Marilyn Carel in Pomona, Calif. on August 10, 1949. He served in the United States Military as a Navy Corpsman and was a journeyman painter in Reno Local 567 for 20 years.

Randy is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 37 years, Mary; only son Ryan and wife Doreen; daughters Melissa and Angela Carel of Carson City, and eight grandchildren, Randy, Lydia, Mariah, Shelby, Whitney, Kiana, Garrett and Tucker; three sisters Debbie Carel, Jennie and husband Mike Schwan, and Melissa and husband Steve Kregal of Fresno, Calif., along with many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Randy will be remembered for his generosity, acceptance of all people and love for his family and friends. The family would like to extend their most heartfelt love and appreciation to Vista Care and Rebel for the loving care given to Randy and support of the family.

A Memorial Service will be 2 p.m., Saturday at Calvary Chapel, 1635 Clearview Drive. Reception following.
