Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Lompa Lane, primarily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.
The closure of westbound Fairview Drive from Saliman Road to Roop Street is in effect through Aug. 31. Alternate routes of travel are Colorado Street to the south, and Little Lane to the north.
Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.
The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 6:17 a.m. all roads open with no controls.
Today's weather will be sunny with areas of haze. Highs 86-96 with light winds becoming west up to 10 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight, clear with areas of haze with lows 54-64 with west winds 10-15 mph in the evening becoming light.
Thursday, sunny with highs 88-98 with light winds.
