Appeal Staff Report

Jonathon Glocknitzer of the Carson-Douglas Rodeo Club turned in another solid performance on Wednesday at the National High School Finals Rodeo in Farmington, N.M.

Glocknitzer scored a 207 in boys cutting to take seventh in his second go-round on Wednesday. He was in 38th overall after placing eighth in his first go-round with a score of 204. His average likely won't be enough to place him in the top 20 overall to advance him to Saturday night's championship round.

Also competing at the nationals this week from the Carson-Douglas Rodeo Club was Elyse Heberger in breakaway roping and Cory Hershkowitz and Cody Kiser in bareback riding.

Heberger was in strong position to make the championship round after winning her go-round in 3.56 seconds. Her effort placed her 13th overall after all the performances in the first go-round.

Heberger was scheduled to compete in her second go-round on Thursday night. Kiser had one successful ride in his two go-rounds, scoring a 44 and Hershkowitz failed to have a successful ride in his first go-round. He's scheduled to compete in his second go-round this morning.
