Blue, Knott and Onion Valley open to fishing on June 14

Blue Lakes, Knott Creek Reservoir and Onion Valley Reservoir, which are all located in Northern Humboldt County, will open for the 2008 fishing season on Saturday, June 14.

Those three waters will remain open to fishing until they all close on Nov. 15.

Blue Lakes:

Is open any hour of the day or night.

The lake limit is five trout.

Only those boats without motors are permitted.

The Blue Lakes area is closed to all vehicular traffic.

Knott Creek Reservoir:

Is open any hour of the day or night.

The limit is one trout, minimum size of 18 inches.

Only artificial flies or lures with a single barbless hook may be used at this reservoir.

Boats must be operated at a speed that leaves no wake.

Onion Valley Reservoir:

Is open any hour of the day or night.

The limit is five trout.
