Anne Elizabeth Gooding, 67, of Carson City, passed away at her home Monday, June 23, 2008. She was born February 7, 1941 in Glendale, Calif.

She married James Gooding in 1959 in Klamath Falls, Ore. Anne and Jim had three children, Barrat, Amy and Kate, and four grandchildren, Shannon, Stuart, Heather and Britany. Anne and Jim lived in Indiana, California, Georgia and Colorado before settling in Nevada in 1992. They have lived in Carson City for nearly 15 years.

Anne spent many years working as a Director of Christian Education for the Presbyterian Church before her employment at the State of Nevada Department of Taxation. She was the beloved musician of the Masonic organizations she belonged to including the local chapters of Rainbow Girls, Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, and White Shrine.

Anne touched the many people she knew in her life, and her family and friends will miss her, her enthusiasm, and her support.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m., Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, 885 E. Musser Street. A celebration of her life will follow at the Carson Masonic Temple, 113 E. Washington Street.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the charity closest to Anne's heart, the Shriners' Hospital for Children, 2425 Stockton Boulevard Sacramento, CA 95817.
