Police investigate death of student found in trunk of car

FONTANA, Calif. " Authorities were investigating whether the death of a college student found in the trunk of a car was a homicide or suicide.

Fontana police Sgt. Jeff Decker said officers found Jacob Okili's body Sunday in his Toyota Camry at an apartment complex.

The 21-year-old student at the University of California, Irvine had a bullet wound to the head. A handgun was found by the body, police said.

"You don't find many suicides in trunks," Decker said.

Okili had been missing since Feb. 25.

Fontana is nearly 50 miles northeast of Irvine.
