Carson City, Gardnerville contractors have licenses revoked

Corbet Weiler Homes of Carson City and Westland Construction of Gardnerville have had there contracting licenses revoked, according to the Nevada State Contractors Board.

Corbet Weiler Homes had diverted of funds; failed to respond to a written request from the board; failed to include the monetary license limit and license number on a contract/proposal; and failed to establish financial responsibility.

The business was fined $2,000 and ordered to pay investigative costs as well as $7,086 in restitution.

Westland Construction had shown substandard workmanship; failed to comply with the board's notice to correct failure to include information on a contract/proposal; and failed to establish financial responsibility.

The business was fined $2,600 and ordered to pay investigative costs as well as $9,700 in restitution.
