Francis E. Hebert, 90, of Dayton passed away on March 16, 2008, in Carson City. He was born in Michigan, spent his early life there and later moved to California. His last 20 years were in Dayton. He was a retired security guard at a bank and a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Dayton.

His wife Helene, 80, passed away one day after Francis on March 17, 2008. She was born in Virginia and spent most of her life in California before coming to Dayton 20 years ago. She was a director of the Senior Center and earlier was a nurse in California caring for the elderly. She also was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Dayton.

Preceded in death by parents, two sons, and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include children Frank and Susie Hebert of Owing Mills, Md., Cathy and Ed Ruiz of Baltimore, Md., Marie and Bill Hargreaves of Denver, Colo., Colleen Herbert of Dayton, and Michele Hebert of Hemet, Calif., Sister Rita Schmaltz of Bloomfield Hills, Mich. Along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 28, 2008 at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Catholic Church in Dayton. Arrangements entrusted to Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
