Tuesday travel and weather outlook " high wind warning in Washoe Valley

Today's weather has a high wind warning in effect from late tonight through Wednesday afternoon.

Tuesday will be breezy and partly cloudy with highs 58-68 and southwest winds around 10 mph increasing to southwest 15-25 mph in the afternoon with gusts up to 40 mph.

Tonight, breezy and partly cloudy with lows 35-45 with southwest winds 15-25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Edmonds, and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.

The Department of Transportation reports at 6:11 a.m. all roads in Northern Nevada open with no controls except on Highway 395 through Washoe Valley: Campers and trailers are prohibited from East Lake Boulevard to Winters Ranch.
