Ruth L. Fogelberg, age 86, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008 at her home in Carson City from cancer.

She was born April 21, 1922 in Wilmington Del. to Ephraim P. and Charlotte E. Lowe.

Ruth attended two years of college and worked as a secretary for the Dupont Company prior to marriage. She was married to Arvid E. Fogelberg November 3, 1944 in Wilmington Del. They resided in New Jersey until 1959 when Arvid was transferred to California to continue working for RCA. In 1968 Ruth began working in the Registrar's Office at California Lutheran University and eventually as an administrative assistant in the Development Office. Ruth and Arvid lived in Thousand Oaks, Calif. until retirement in 1987 and then moved to Carson City.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Arvid in 1996; their infant daughter Starr in June 1953 and her brother Warner Lowe.

She is survived by her sons Dr. Ken Fogelberg and Jim Fogelberg; ten grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.

Services are being held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Carson City and arrangements are being made through Capital City Cremation and Burial Society. Please contact the mortuary or St. Paul's for the time and date of services. Ruth and Arvid will be interred in North East, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged through St. Paul's Lutheran Church for disbursement to the local cancer center and hospice.
