After its third Board of Directors meeting today, the newly formed business development organization Nevada Business Connections (NBC) is now open for business. Last week, the state of Nevada kicked-off "Invest in America Week" with events in Carson City and Las Vegas. U.S. Commerce Department's Deputy Assistant Secretary Holly Vineyard addressed Nevada officials and members of the public at Taiyo America. She spoke about the significance of foreign investment to the U.S.


Nevada Secretary of State Ross Miller spoke about the impact of foreign investment for the state - the total investment for property, plant and equipment being more than $7 billion.




Nevada Comstock Communications now has now has its fiber-optic communication network in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center up and running. It is the only true 100-percent fiber optic system, from the provider to the premise of he client, of its kind in Nevada, according to the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center.
