Rick Chambers has been named business relationship manager in Wells Fargo's northern Nevada Business Banking group. In his role, he joins 15 business bankers and support staff who provide personal service and financial solutions to mid-size northern Nevada businesses. His office is at 2424 S. Carson St., and his number is 885-5304.




Walls for Storey County's new 30,000-square-foot facility have gone up at the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center.


The building will house satellite offices for Storey County offices, sheriff's officers, fire department and public works departments.


TRI developers Roger Norman and Lance Gilman donated the land and the construction of the Storey County complex.




By the end of June, AT&T will offer speeds between 500 and 800 kbps with download speeds up to 1.4 mbps on its 3G wireless network. The service will be available in Carson City.




Six members of the local Wells Fargo Private Bank office were selected to attend the group's annual "Concord Elite" recognition event: Jeff Appleton, portfolio manager; Gayle Cangiano, senior trust officer; Jim Hackett, private client adviser; Janet Mello, private client adviser; Julie Reynolds, operations manager and Mike Rooker, private client adviser.




Maverik has purchased property in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center for a store and service station.


Maverik, headquartered in Salt Lake City, is the second company with plans for a convenience store and service station in the same area at TRI. The first one for Golden Gate Petroleum is presently under construction kitty-corner from the Maverik property on the corner of Portofino and the USA Parkway, which is the main thoroughfare through the industrial complex.
