"The Carson & Colorado Railroad " 1930s Closing of the Northern Lines," a free presentation by Dr. Linda Clements, HSDV director and webmaster, former professor and Dayton history buff, who will discuss the New Deal era closing of the Northern Carson & Colorado Railroad. Program presented by the Historical Society of Dayton Valley in celebration of Nevada Archaeological Awareness and Historic Preservation month, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Dayton Senior Center, 320 Old Dayton Valley Road.

Coin drive for Lindsay Davidson, who was struck by an uninsured motorist while crossing Dayton Valley Road. Donations may be dropped off at the school office from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at Dayton Elementary School.
