Crews knock down fire off Curry Street

Carson City fire crews are extinguishing a brush fire behind the Shell gas station off Curry Street.

Acting Fire Chief Tom Tarulli said the fire was reported at 3:53 p.m. and scorched about an acre and a half of land previously burned by the Waterfall fire in 2005.

The cause is under investigation.
