Historic textile expert to speak on Fourth Ward School exhibit

Jan Loverin, curator of the Marjorie Russell Textile and Research Center, will discuss the historic clothing on display in the exhibit, "Out of the Closet: The Kaitty Holland Clothing Collection" at 2 p.m. June 6 at the Fourth Ward School Museum, 537 South C St., Virginia City.

The collection includes Holland's mother's 1870 wedding dress, a day dress, a black afternoon ensemble, her high school graduation dress, and several other fashion items demonstrating the clothing and style of an 1870-1890 Comstock

miner's wife.
