David Earle Walmer III entered into his eternal rest August 27, 2008. David was born February 1, 1969 in Fairfield, Calif. and was a Gardnerville resident for eight years. Dave was living out a lifelong dream of starting his own trucking company and enjoyed spending time with his son.
Dave is survived by his father David E. Walmer and stepmother Marlene of Pueblo, Colo.; his mother Karen Hayden of Charleston, S.C.; his son Derreck Walmer of Dayton; one brother Matthew Walmer and his wife Frances of Pueblo West, Colo.; three sisters, Julieanna Killian of Gardnerville; Celecia Calhoun of Yerington; and Michelle Walmer of Pueblo, Colo.; uncle, Dan Walmer of Livermore, Calif. and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m., today at the Walton's Chapel of the Valley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a memorial benefit set up at Wells Fargo to benefit son Derreck Walmer.
Walton's Douglas County Mortuary has been entrusted with final arrangements.
