Northern Nevada Comstock Investments announced Wednesday that the company has purchased the Silver Dollar Casino in Carson City.
The buyer already owns two casinos in Carson City, the Comstock Casino on Goni Road and Cactus Jack's Senator Club downtown. The company is an affiliate of W.C.W. Corporation, which owns casinos in Fallon, Fernley and Silver Springs. The company is also developing the COD Casino in Minden, scheduled to open in 2010.
"We are committed to providing our guests of Carson City the absolute best value for their gambling experience," said D. Scott Tate, general manager for the company's casinos in Carson City, in a press release announcing the acquisition.
The Silver Dollar Casino, located on Fairview Drive, built a new third-floor cafe that opened last year.
