Carson City Toyota earns national award

Carson City Toyota has won the Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. President's Award for outstanding sales and service, the 21st time the dealership has received such an honor.

Wisdom Audio expands headquarters

Wisdom Audio has expanded its corporate headquarters in Carson City to address increased production. A new product evaluation sound room has been integrated to train and educate domestic and international dealers on the Sage Series audio systems.

Legal survivor course

A one-day legal seminar conducted by the Nevada chapter of the National Association of Legal Secretaries will be on Friday, May 1 at the Gold Dust West. The class is designed to give all legal support staff a "survivor course" on working with the Nevada Supreme Court, discovery rules, law office ethics, liens, probate court updates, and improving your grammar skills. WNC student wins BAWN award

The Builders Association of Western Nevada announced that Cody Cummings, a student at Western Nevada College, has been awarded the Edd P. Furgerson Memorial Scholarship. 

Cummings will use the scholarship for tuition and books to participate in the four-year construction degree program now offered at Western Nevada College and supported by BAWN. 

"I can't tell you how excited I was when I received the award letter for this scholarship," Cummings stated in a press release. "I look forward to becoming a partner with BAWN and helping to promote the construction industry in Nevada."

Currently the BAWN endowment fund is making available three $1,000 scholarships per year to students in this program.

First-time home buyers seminar

A seminar for first-time home buyers will be 5:30 - 7 p.m. Thursday, April 23 at Western Title Company, 2319 So. Carson St, Suite 5-B.

The free home-buying seminar is offered by Sheri Wilson of Prudential Nevada Realty, Janet Willson of Nevada Property Mortgage, and Donna Peacock of Western Title Company. RTIA unveils New Web Site

The Reno-Tahoe International Airport unveiled a new Web site today featuring a new flight-mapping tool. The Innovata tool helps travelers find flights by clicking on the city of their choice on an interactive map, which then displays a pop-up menu listing all the flight options from RTIA to that destination. Made in Nevada Marketplace

The Nevada Commission on Economic Development says 40 vendors have already signed on to display and sell their merchandise at the event May 13 at the Nevada State Library and Archives atrium in Carson City and seeks approval to add more vendors from a waiting list.
