National Active and Retired Federal Employees to meet

National Active and Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1329 will meet Tuesday, April 21 at Grandma Hattie's 2811 S. Carson St. An optional lunch will be at 11:15 a.m.; business meeting follows at 12:15 p.m. Frankee Haynes of the District Attorney's Office will speak. Children's Theater presents 'Beauty and the Beast Jr.'

Wild Horse Children's Theater presents "Beauty and the Beast Jr.", 7 p.m. Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25; 4 p.m., Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26 at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, 813 N. Carson St. Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 for seniors and students; $5 for ages 12 and under; children three and under are free. Watch a coin press demonstration

A special minting demonstration on Coin Press No. 1 will be 10:30 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m., Saturday, April 25 at the Nevada State Museum, 600 N. Carson St. The event culminates National Coin Week and celebrates the Year of Lincoln, commemorating the 200th anniversary of Lincoln's birth; the minting is endorsed by the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission. 'McTeacher's Night' hosted by St. Teresa of Avila School

St. Teresa of Avila Catholic School will host "McTeacher's Night", 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 29 at McDonald's, 3905 S. Carson St. The principal and teachers will be preparing and serving meals with a portion of the sales donated to St. Teresa School. For information, call 882-2079.
