Learn to scrapbook while helping Relay of Life

Make reservations by Thursday, May 7 to attend a scrapbooking workshop to raise money for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life hosted by the Greater Nevada Credit Union and Carson High School Culinary Arts. The fundraiser will be 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Saturday, May 16, at Carson High School Senator Square upstairs, 1111 N. Saliman Road. $30 nonrefundable fee benefits the American Cancer Society. In addition of a donation to a worthy cause you will receive lunch made by the CHS Culinary Arts; space to work on albums; time with friends; free gift for attending and a free raffle ticket for many prizes. Pancake breakfast with Genoa Fire Safe Chapter

Genoa Fire Safe Chapter and Genoa Volunteer Fire Department sponsor a pancake breakfast, 8 a.m.-noon, Saturday at the Genoa Fire Station on Main Street, Genoa. A family breakfast is $5 or $15 for breakfast and a Fire Safe Chapter membership. The Jobs Peak, Foothill, Eagle Ridge, Jacks Valley and Clear Creek Chapter members are welcome.
