Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

- A 28-year-old Carson City laborer was arrested at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday in the 4900 block of Edmonds Drive on suspicion of misdemeanor second-offense drunken driving, and speeding. Bail was set at $2,607.

- A 45-year-old fast-food worker from Carson City was arrested at 8:35 p.m. Tuesday at Woodside and Siskiyou drives on suspicion of misdemeanor failure to obey a stop sign, failure to wear a seat belt, having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, second-offense drunken driving, driving without a valid license and riving without insurance. Bail was set a$3,870.

- A 54-year-old equipment operator from Carson City was arrested at 4:16 p.m. Tuesday in the 3000 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of misdemeanor throwing a cigarette from a vehicle and failure to appear on a traffic citation. Bail was set $2,036.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

- A caller reported at 9:27 a.m. someone attempted to steal her car from a parking lot off Stewart Street by attempting to hot-wire it.

- A caller reported her wallet stolen at 11:10 a.m. by a woman she was interviewing for a job.

- A pizza shop employee reported a man came in to complain about a delivery driver's driving, and "almost hit employee," at 1:16 p.m.

- A shoplifter was nabbed by Wal-Mart store security at 3:27 p.m. and 4:26 p.m.

- A mother reported her daughter was walking home from middle school when three girls stole "several items out of her backpack and hit her on the hand."

- A shoplifter was nabbed by Safeway employees at 8:58 p.m.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

- Felony arrest for military desertion on Bayhill Circle in Dayton Valley at 1:45 a.m.

- Coroner call on Elm Street in Silver Springs at 8:23 a.m.

- A Stagecoach parent reported at 12:39 p.m. their adult son threatened to get a knife and cut their throat.

- Felony arrest on Redrock Road in Mound House at 3:29 p.m.

- Felony arrest on Comstock Street in Mason Valley at 5 p.m.
