Snow falls in Mound House
UPDATE: Western Nevada College has canceled classes today.
After much back and forth, the Carson City School District has CANCELED classes today. A foot of snow fell overnight and more is expected.
According to the Lyon County Office of Emergency Management, classes are canceled in Dayton, Silver Springs and Fernley. Private schoois are closed, and classes are also canceled in Washoe County and Incline Village.
It's expected to snow throughout the day with a high near 26. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent, according to CarsonWeather.com. Total daytime snow accumulation of 5 to 9 inches possible.
