Lloyd Sitts, 84, a former Carson City resident, died Nov. 28, 2009, in Phoenix, Ariz. He was born in Mexico, Mo., to Sara Ethel McCowan and Walter Sitts. He served in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his partner of many years, Claire Rawlings; his previous wife Gladys McKenzie of Carson City; children Ari (Lyon) Sitts and Mary Sitts of Carson City, Carol Young of Santa Rosa, Calif.; sisters Lillian Blackburn of Lewiston, Mo., and Lou Parish of Shreveport, La.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. At his request, there will be no services, but a party Jan. 15 in Santa Rosa will be held in his honor. E-mail gcyoung@sonic.net to be part of this event.
