Small electrical fire contained at museum

Firefighters quickly contained a small electrical fire at the Nevada State Museum this morning.

Fire Capt. John Arenson said crews were called out just after 9 a.m. when an employee noted a some smoke in the south foyer of the old portion of the museum on Carson Street.

Someone inside pulled the fire alarm and the building was evacuated.

Arenson said the "very, very small" fire was contained. Museum operations have resumed and fire crews have cleared the scene.
