The Pita Pit at 935 Topsy Lane closed its doors for good on Tuesday, said owner Paul Dunham.
"People aren't really buying lunch right now," Dunham said. "That's basically all it was ... we're just the little guys, we couldn't afford to keep paying the bills on it."
The store employed six people.
"It was a real bummer. Luckily we got the staff members their holiday checks," he said.
Dunham owns another Pita Pit in south Reno and said he isn't planning to open another location near Carson City anytime soon.
