Richard L. Omen, a 35-year resident of Carson City, passed away Feb. 9, 2009.
Richard was born in Red Lake, Minn. Oct. 22, 1945.
Richard is survived by a daughter Nicole Omen of Bull Head, S.D.; great-granddaughter Suri Gayton; granddaughter, Tiffany DeRosa of Carson City; grandson Nolan Dargert of Reno; sisters Renee Fredericks (George) of Carson City and Lynette Rojo (Carlos) of Elk Grove, Calif.; stepfather Otis Stoliby of Minden; nieces Natalie Berger of Carson City, Valerie Thomas of Sparks, Lisa Rojo and Laurie DePriest of Elk Grove, Calif., Michelle Busi of Jackson, Calif.
His daughter, Margaret Omen Dargert, and his wife, Sandra Omen, preceded him in death.
Richard served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He loved his cat Stubby. He enjoyed his video movies and reading.
Family services will be at a later date.
