The 11th annual Colonial Bank Classic Car Show to benefit the Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare Foundation is Friday from 6-10 p.m., at Colonial' Bank's Park Lane branch, 2330 South Virginia St., Reno.

The event features more than 150 vintage and antique cars and trucks and will include live music, raffles, prizes, games, an Elvis impersonator and food prepared by A&W.

Awards for "Best of Show" and "Employee Choice" will be presented during the closing ceremony.

Proceeds will benefit the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center, which provides comprehensive treatment for patients from throughout Northern Nevada.  The 15 Merriner Cottages sit on the Cancer Center grounds and are provided free of charge to rural Nevada patients undergoing outpatient treatment and their families.

The Carson Tahoe Cancer Center opened its state-of-the-art facilities in December 2006, providing a variety of cancer services with some of the best specialty physicians and healthcare professionals in the country.

The center offers radiation therapy, medical oncology, and the Resource Center provides clinical trials, tumor registry, support groups, classes, individual counseling, cosmetic support, yoga, massage and educational outreach all under one roof.

Through extensive private donations, the center is able to treat both insured and uninsured patients.
