Our much-loved mother, grandmother and sister passed away May 30, 2009 at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center at the age of 100. She was born in Colorado Springs March 4, 1909 to parents Guy and Eda Carrington and moved to Southern California at age one-year. The family of three boys and three girls later moved to Lee Vining and Mono Lake.

Mom spent most of her teen years there where she met her husband Millard Troxel. They were married at Mono Lake. Her father Guy Carrington built the original June Lake Junction where they later resided. The Junction was sold just before World War II. She was a Rosie the Riveter for Lockheed and also worked and retired after 18 years for Riley's Department Store San Luis Obispo where she resided for many years. She loved to dance and travel and was a great knitter and crocheter.

She is survived by her daughters Shirley Wilkinson of Carson City, Judy Minor of Arroryo Grande, Calif.; sister Gerry Morgan of Emmett Idaho; four grandchildren Jill Thomsen of Carson City, Tib Wilkinson of Bishop Calif., Debbie Steil and Scott Minor of Arroyo Grande, Calif. She has 9 great-grandchildren and 11 great great-grandchildren.

She resided at the Grandmother Mobile Park in Arroyo Grande Calif. until her death and was a member of the Grandmothers' Club there.

She passed peacefully with her family at her side. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If you wish to honor her memory, donate to your favorite charity in her name. Arrangements are in the care of Autumn Funerals & Cremations.
