Roberts celebrate 60th years together

Anne and Jim Roberts, residents of Carson City since 1965, celebrated their 60th anniversary April 24, 2009. The couple married April 24, 1949 in Sand Diego, Calif. They have three children, Eric of Palo Alto, Calif.; Mark of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and Wendy Swanson of Sonoma, Calif. and six grandchildren.

Jim is a retired professor of political science and public administration at the University of Nevada. He is also involved in the Democratic Party. Anne has worked at the State Printing Office and involved in numerous community organizations including the League of Women Voters and Ormsby Public Library.

The couple celebrated with a gathering of family and extended family members at Glen Eagles.
