John R. Musselman

John R. Musselman, 66, formerly of Carson City, died March 23, 2009 at Forbes Hospice in Oakland, Calif.

Mr. Musselman was born April 2, 1942 in Alturas, Calif. to the late Ross Musselman and Sylvia (Fredrickson) Musselman.

He was a member of the F.O. Eagles No. 1006 in Carson City. He was the last living member of the band "The Hang Up's".

He was married to Cheryl "Cheri" (McQuown) Musselman of Monroeville, Calif.

In addition to his wife he is survived by son Richard Musselman and wife Jessica of Round Mountain, Nev.; stepson Samuel Puleio and wife Terri of Punxsutawney, Pa.; stepdaughters Gina Bryant and fiance Tim Covatch of Punxsutawney and Cathy McElhinny and husband George "Pork" of Greenbrier, Tenn.; two sisters Marie of Grants Pass, Ore. and Shirley of Red Bluff, Calif.; father-in-law Richard McQuown and wife Janet; brother-in-law Thomas McQuown and sister-in-law Mary Jo Bush all of Punxsutawney; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by two brothers Ross "Rocky" Musselman and Edward Musselman. three sisters Dolores, Dorothy and Maxine.

All arrangements are private and through the McCabe Funeral Home.
