Weather for the Carson City area today will begin partly cloudy becoming mostly cloudy with highs 54-64 with west winds 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight, breezy and mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers; snow level 6000 to 6500 feet. Lows 27-37 with west winds 15-25 mph shifting to the northwest 10-15 mph after midnight with gusts up to 35 mph.

Thursday, partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers in the morning. Snow level 5000 to 5500 feet with highs 45-55 with north winds 10-15 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 5:44 a.m. all roads open with no controls.

Utility work continues on Little Lane between Saliman Road south Stewart Street, mainly between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., with lane restrictions on Little Lane west of South Roop Street.

Utility work is also being done on North Roop Street from East John to Long streets, and on Corbett street, west of North Roop.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, as with East Fifth Street from Saliman Road to Fairview Drive.

Work on Highway 50 in east Carson City and Mound House for the V&T bridge will begin at 8 p.m. this evening. The area has posted lower speed limits with narrow lanes just east of Flint Drive.

Crews will be placing the V&T bridge tonight; traffic will be controlled at times.
