GALT, Calif. - Police in Sacramento County are looking for an 18-year-old man in connection to the deadly shooting of two people at a birthday party.

Galt police Chief Loren Cattolico says a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Alfredo Daniel Tafoya on suspicion of two counts of murder.

Investigators say the shooting happened late Saturday inside a ballroom in Galt, a community located just south of Sacramento. The facility had been rented for a 15-year-old girl's quinceanera.

Officers found two victims - 24-year-old Carlos Alonso Montes of La Puente and 20-year-old Efrain Zambrano of Galt. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Cattolico says there's evidence Tafoya has gang ties but that theory had not been validated by law enforcement.
