The Carson City Library will host Michael Sady, a professor at Western Nevada College, at 11 a.m. Saturday, for a program on the Waterfall Fire Interpretive Trail.

The library is located at the corner of Roop and Washington Streets.

Interested people of all ages are invited to meet at the library for a 30 minute presentation about the trail, followed an interpretive walk along the trail. The walk begins at 1 p.m. at the Jack C. Davis Observatory of Western Nevada College _ Carson campus.

The Waterfall Fire Interpretive Trail characterizes landscapes affected by wildfires, and disturbed by climate change.

It is located along the bike path and planetary walkway west of the WNC campus, and includes the Lakeview Park area northwest of the college adjacent to Lakeview Estates.

The entire trail walk should take about 90 minutes. There will be time provided to eat lunch following the library presentation. Those interested should bring a sack lunch.

Prepare for the late summer/early fall weather and wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the walk.

If you have any questions about the trail or the program, please contact Mike Sady, Western Nevada College at (775) 445-4400 or email to mbsady@wnc.edu.
