Sklars to celebrate 50 years together

Barry and Barbara Sklar of Carson City will celebrate their 50th anniversary Saturday with family and friends.

They were married in San Diego, Calif., on Sept. 12, 1959.

Celebrating with them will be their daughter and son-in-law Michele and Mark Van Voorst, and their two girls Caitlin, 16, and Cassidy, 14, who reside in Virginia City Highlands; their son Jay Sklar and his wife Pam Sarri who reside in Washington state with his two daughters Julia, 13, and Brigitte, 11.
