Ray Hoyt, secretary-treasurer and Claudia Lowe, president of the International Footprint Association, Carson Valley Chapter #72 present Douglas County Deputy Sheriff Bret Hicks and Sheriff Ron Pierini with a donation of $1,245.

Sheriff Pierini said the money will be used to purchase five additional wrist transmitters and testers for his Care Trak program that is managed by Deputy Hicks.

The program is designed for individuals who are afflicted with Alzheimer's, autism, dementia, or Down syndrome.

The client wears a frequency transmitting bracelet and if they go missing the sheriff's department can track the person.
