CARSON CITY, Nev (AP) - Nevada Assembly Speaker Barbara Buckley says she won't run for governor in the 2010 election.

In a statement issued Friday, the Las Vegas Democrat says made the decision after consulting with her family about the rigors of a 14-month campaign.

Buckley, who has a 10-year-old son, says she made the decision that now is not the right time to run.

Buckley was elected to the Assembly in 1994. She is barred by term limits from seeking re-election to her seat.
