RENO (AP) - Rory Reid will host two community events in Northern Nevada today to talk to voters as he prepares to run for governor in next year's election.
Reid will speak with the Lyon County Democratic Club at 10 a.m. at the Stage-coach Community Center.
After that he'll be in Reno, where he'll host a community barbecue at Paradise Park. That event begins at noon.
Reid is chairman of the Clark County Commission and the son of U.S. Sen. Harry Reid.
