Health Inspections

Carson City Health Department's food-service inspections for the week of Sept. 1-14 (all scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations):

• Seven Eleven #22629, 3701 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• The Sub Factory, 2589 N. Carson St. #B, scored 97 points. At least one employee of this establishment, must be a certified food handler.

• Artisan Cafe, 449 W. King St., scored 100 points.

• Brewery Arts Center Brewery, 449 W. King St., scored 100 points.

• Sierra Joe's, 444 E. William St. #6, scored 100 points.

• Carson Coffee, 1825 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• McDonalds #4, 3344 N. Carson St., scored 95 points. Facilities for manual dishwashing are not properly designed, constructed, maintained, installed, located or operated. There are leaks in the hoses under the customer soda dispenser. There is a hole in the bottom of the kitchen mop sink. A supply of paper towels is not present at the kitchen hand sink.

• Capital City Dos Amigos, 1621 U.S. 50 East, #G, scored 94 points. Readily perishable hot foods are held at temperatures that support micro-organismal growth (between 40 F and 140 F). Warming unit holding roast pork has an ambient internal temperature of around 120 F. Bags of ice for sale to customers are not labeled.

• Ming's Restaurant, 2330 S. Carson St., scored 96 points. Can opener is dirty. Dish racks are stored on the kitchen floor. There is dust buildup behind the ice machine, in the ceiling fan guards over the prep area and in between the baffles of the grease hood. There is impacted food under the outer door handles of the reach-ins on the cook line.

• Ming's Restaurant Bar/Lounge, 2330 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Carson City Parks, Fuji Park Food Facility, Exhibit Hall & Kitchen, 701 Clear Creek Road, scored 100 points.

• Carson City Parks, Fuji Park Food Facility, Mobile Trailer, 701 Clear Creek Road, scored 100 points.

• Little Caesars Pizza, 1217 S. Carson St., scored 95 points. A scoop without a handle was found in the cheese bin. There was no sanitizer available to sanitize food contact surfaces. At least one employee of this establishment present during operations must be a certified food handler.

• Wild Bill's, 1475 Old Hot Springs Road, #6, scored 100 points.
