New this season, Mt Rose is giving pass holders 10 percent off dining items, 20 percent off all Mt. Rose logo items in 431 Sports, season equipment leases available to kids ages 3-12, pass holder appreciation days, specials and events are announced throughout the season.

Plus, free Ladies Day Clinics and 50 percent off work in the Repair Shop is back for the 2009/2010 season.

Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort is looking for professional employees to fill seasonal positions for the upcoming winter season. The resort will hold a job fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Oct. 3 for applicants interested in teaching at the Northstar Resort Ski & Snowboard School, and those interested in coaching in the Race Department.

The job fair is in the Kid's Ski & Snowboard School in the Village at Northstar.

Another job fair will be from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 7 in the Village at Northstar to fill just about every department, including Lift Operations, Food & Beverage, Rentals, Ski & Snowboard School , Demos, Resort Activities & Sales, Retail and more.

Open positions range from seasonal part- and full-time, to weekends and holidays only. The ability to ski or snowboard is not required for these jobs.

Appointments for both job fairs are encouraged. Walk-ins are welcome if space is available.
