Obituary: Jerome H. "Jerry" Diesman

Jerome H. "Jerry" Diesman passed away Dec. 17, 2010, at the home of his daughter after a long battle with MDS/Leukemia. He was preceded in death by Joyce, his wife and best friend of 57 years; daughter Sandy; his parents, and two brothers. He is survived by his daughter "Kitty" Hopper (Carson City); sister Rosita Diesman (Great Falls, Mont.); grandson Chris Hopper and great-grandson Weston Hopper (Carson City); niece Alberta Kalhori (Vacaville). Jerry was born in Los Angeles. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Leyte during WWII. He played on the semi-pro golf circuit many years and also held a private pilot's license. Jerry and Joyce RV'd the western U.S. extensively. They were friends to everyone they met and will be missed by many. Interment of ashes of Jerry and Joyce will be in the spring. Arrangments are in the care of Autumn Funerals & Cremations.
